Big Week

The car is getting fully prepped and John and I are doing the Stockton Beach driver training this weekend. It is freezing, so we'll be testing the new tent very seriously, and getting out the subzero sleeping bags. Brrrr! SJC

Hooray! John and Sash finally have a roof over their heads for the trip.

Yes, it's true, after months of deliberation, John eventually settled on a Black Wolf 270 Plus Lite Turbo tent - same as Mark's! Our campsite will look like a club trip. ;)

It was a close race, between this and the amazing Jet-tent 25, but the price tag and weight of the canvas Jet tent really took it out of contention. Even Sash might struggle to hoist 30 kilos of dead weight onto the roof. Looking forward to breaking the new tent in a Stockton Beach in a couple of weeks. SJC

Countdown

A visit to the Camping Show over the weekend got us all more excited about the upcoming trip. Things are really coming together in terms of planning. We looked at maps, tents, recovery gear, cooking equipment and a whole range of other things. SJC
